Toolkit #2: December 2018

Toolkit #3: February 2019

Home Shalom strives to raise awareness about domestic violence in the Jewish community by presenting teen workshops on healthy relationships in synagogues, schools and Jewish youth organizations. Home Shalom aims for every Jewish community to declare itself a safe space by having resources available on permanent display.

"Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury for women in America."
-Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee

"1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men in the United States have experienced rape, physical violence and/or stalking by an intimate partner in their lifetime."
-The National Domestic Violence Hotline

"Our society will be judged by how we treat those most vulnerable. Every human being is created in the Divine Image and deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and love."
- Rabbi Steven Carr Reuben, Founder of Home Shalom

Together we can and will make the world a better place.
We invite you to join Home Shalom and The Advot Project in this mission.

Home Shalom is part of the L.A. Jewish Teen Initiative’s Focus on Teen Wellness, co-funded by the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles and the Jim Joseph Foundation with seed funding provided by the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles.
